Tired of poor color reproduction in your inkjet prints? Wasting ink doing reprints? Using custom color profiles for your printer ensures that you get consistent, accurate color reproduction for every photo. Each printer / paper / ink combination will result in different color imbalances in your prints. We will generate custom profiles for those combinations you choose using a high quality spectrophotometer.

Here is how it works... You download this COLOR CHART and print it using the printer, paper, and ink you will be using for printing photos. Make sure that you turn off any color adjustments that your printer might perform. When the print is dry, sandwich it between sheets of clean paper and cardboard to protect it from damage and send it to the address below along with your email address and the name you'd like to use for the profile. We recommend using an abbreviated combination of printer model and paper type, we will incorporate the date into the name as well. We will send you an email acknowledgement of receipt and instructions for secure payment through PayPal (you will not need a PayPal account). When payment is received we will measure your chart, generate the custom profile, and email it back to you with instructions for installation and use. We will keep your chart on file for 30 days in case you need it measured again for any reason.

We highly recommend that you also calibrate your monitor. Doing so will ensure that what you see on the screen will closely match what is printed. The best way to do this is with a device/software like the Colorvision Spyder2 or GretagMacbeth Eye-One Display 2. If you don't want to buy the equipment yourself (appr. $200-250) you may find somebody local to do this. If you are in the Denver area we can calibrate your monitor as well, email for pricing.
